Ukrainian Online Primary School for Grades 1–4
The first years of school shape how a child feels about learning. Some families need a fully online daily routine; others need a programme that can be completed more independently. Dzherelo offers several formats for grades 1–4, so that a family can choose the amount of live contact and support that fits its situation.
All formats are designed around the Ukrainian school curriculum and include a state-standard education document on completion of the relevant level. The difference is in the organisation of study, the amount of live teaching and the way required work is completed.

School year and enrolment during the year
For grades 1–4, the study period is nine months. The first semester runs from September to December (four study months); the second runs from January to May (five study months).
For Student formats, payment is calculated from the month in which the agreement is concluded. For External Studies formats, the fee is calculated for the grade course and the school-year period regardless of the enrolment date.
Fees and discounts
The school offers the following discount rules:
- a 5% reduction when the academic year is paid in full, for all formats;
- a 15% reduction for External Studies Basic when two grades are taken in one year;
- documentary discounts for eligible families: 15% for Student formats, 10% for External Studies Basic and 20% for External Studies Basic with two grades in one year;
- discounts are not combined.
Eligibility grounds include large families, two or more children from one family enrolled at the school, a child with a disability, a child of a parent or guardian with combatant status, an orphan or half-orphan, and a child living in a temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. Confirm details with the admissions office.
Questions families often ask
Will my child have live lessons?
Yes, but the amount depends on the format. Student Extra for grades 1–4 includes two or three scheduled live lessons per weekday. Student Basic and Student Light include a monthly online class review in each subject. External Studies Basic includes a semesterly review in each subject.
Can a child study from abroad?
The programme is online. Families living abroad should discuss time zones, the selected format and document requirements with the admissions office before enrolling.
Is Student Light the same as External Studies?
No. Both are designed for more independent work, but they use different assessment and teacher-contact arrangements. Student Light has monthly subject reviews and diagnostic assessments; External Studies Basic has semesterly reviews and comprehensive annual assessment.
