Some pupils want to add a second language, more mathematics, public-speaking practice or a financial-literacy course to their main school programme. Dzherelo offers several optional learning opportunities. Availability and fee vary by academic year; confirm your choice with admissions.
German as a second foreign language
The current page describes German from Grades 1–2 as an optional course. From Grade 5, families may choose either an officially assessed second foreign language or an elective route without formal assessment. Confirm the age group, format, fee and whether the subject appears in the pupil’s education record.
Advanced mathematics
For Grades 1–9, the page describes an advanced-mathematics option with a larger amount of mathematical learning than the standard level. For Grades 8–9, it also describes an option with two live online lessons per week in a specialised group of up to 15 pupils.
Public speaking and communication
For Grades 8–11, a course in public speaking and the art of communication is available. It covers work with voice, text, storytelling, public presentation and improvisation. The exact curriculum and schedule should be confirmed before enrolment.
Growing up responsibly
For Grades 8–11, a course called Growing Up Responsibly covers topics such as healthy relationships, emotional maturity and personal boundaries. Ask admissions for the current syllabus and parental information before enrolment.
Financial literacy and entrepreneurship
The current page lists three age-based formats:
- Grades 5–7: financial literacy and entrepreneurial thinking, using games, quests, business cases and team projects;
- Grades 8–9: finance, business thinking and personal development, including a pupil project;
- Grades 10–11: finance, a personal project and personal opportunities, ending with a financial model and public presentation.
