External Studies Basic for Grades 5–9

External Studies Basic is for pupils in Grades 5–9 who will complete most learning independently and need a clear route for assessment through a licensed school.

What is included

• Core learning materials and tests.
• One online class review with a teacher in each subject per semester.
• One comprehensive annual assessment in every subject, due by the end of the second semester.
• Individual support from the class curator.

Completing two or more grades in a year is possible in appropriate cases. Whether this is suitable depends on the pupil’s prior learning, available time, documents and assessment plan; it must be agreed individually with the school.
