The IT Profile is a senior-school format for pupils who want to give more time to computer science, mathematics and English while completing the wider Ukrainian school programme.
It is designed for a pupil who has started to think about a technology-related university direction or future profession and wants a more focused learning routine. It is not a promise of admission or employment; it is a way to organise school study around selected subjects.
What the current Ukrainian profile includes
- Advanced work in computer science, mathematics and English.
- Weekly intensive online lessons in the selected profile subjects.
- Two online class lessons with a teacher per month in other subjects.
- Preparation for the NMT in advanced subjects.
- A specialised group of up to 10 pupils.
- Support from a profile curator.
- Access to advanced and core materials, tests, additional resources and practical tasks through the learning platform.
Pupils complete the required work in advanced and core subjects according to the semester deadlines. In subjects outside the profile, the required workload may be reduced; confirm the specific requirements with the school.
Who may find it useful
The format may suit a Grade 10 or 11 pupil who wants a more deliberate balance between the school programme and preparation in subjects relevant to future study. Before choosing it, compare the actual weekly lesson schedule with the pupil’s workload, NMT goals and other commitments.
